Journaling reads: Lower Lewis River Falls was as beautiful and majestic as I had hoped they’d be. The crisp fall day and the moist forest floor made for an easy hike. We wanted to see Middle Falls and Upper Falls, but after hiking for over an hour, we finally gave up since it was beginning to get dark due to the heavy canopy and early fall sunset. It was a place that had a pulse pounding energy to it when standing by the falls and a serene, peaceful energy as we walked on the carpeted forest floor. So happy we made this hike, even though it was a five hour drive, round trip.
