Pop up Poetry.jpg

This is an old scrap page from 2012 but it's one of my favourite poems that I have written myself.
The photo is the scene from the kitchen window of the house where we lived in Pembrokeshire at the time.

The poem:
'Looking through the kitchen window
An Autumn sunrise paints the scene -
The tell-tale mist on the windowpane
And a palette of colours that sets the theme.

A few moments of reflection
On yet another summer gone -
Listening very carefully
To the message of the bird’s early morning song

The tick-tock of the big kitchen clock
Breaks the thoughts of what has been -
Back to the moment of a brand new day,
It’s now time to embrace another season’s dream.'

Kits: DaisyTrail - fairy Tales Autumn, KDK - Summer's End, Serif - Urban.
Fonts: Annie and Bosshole.
Anne, you are very creative writing your own poems and haikus! Beautiful photos and fabulous poem!
