Challenge 10 Pick Your Palette April
April here on the West Coast spring has arrived with a flurry of blossoms.
This month I want to focus on textures and masking so I have kept my palette soft. I may use all of the colours or keep it to just the minimum 3 required colours for the challenge but I would rather have too many and not use them all than wish I had chosen more. I also thought I would like to use two photos just to make things interesting.

Do you have to use 2 photos? ... No

How to Play
This is a 2 part Colour Challenge:
Part 1
Open a blank page. Choose your photo. (One works best.) Add your photo.
To make your palette
Choose at least 3 colours but no more than 5 from the photo. You do not have to use all the colours you chose but you must use a minimum of 3 colours from your palette.
Choose a shape using your shape picker and repeat for each colour you want to use. (Any simple shape works as it is only a reference.)
Place the shapes in one corner of the photo page.
Use your colour picker and fill each shape with one of the colours you have snagged from the photo.
Merge all the shapes together and keep on a separate layer to be deleted later.
Save this page as a working page.
Post your colour palette page in the monthly gallery labelled PYP1.
Come to this thread and post your choices.
Part 2
You may use any product and any photo you want.
On the photo page, Adjust the size and placement of the photo(s) and create your LO.
Make any type of layout with a focus on the colours you chose.
Delete the palette when you are finished

Place your finished layout in the monthly challenge gallery and label PYP2
Come back to your original spot and add the finished layout underneath.
That is it!

I outlined the soft colours only so that they are easily seen. Have fun.

Here is my finished page. I did end up using all the colours and both photos were duplicated many times over.using a mask created from on of the stamps in the kit.

ooo I adore the greens and yellows. Can't wait to see what you do. Would you be a sweetie and put this in the monthly challenge gallery and add the credits for the photo please. Thanks.

Done. I was going to put the finished layout in the challenges and delete this one at the end... kind of like the temp gallery for the progressive. Happy to put it in the main challenges gallery though.

What a cute picture! The colurs are perfect. You did a great job with the layout especially the way it is masked, framed and centered.
