Apologies!

I'm sorry that I've been semi-absent this last week, and I've missed a couple of dates for Page of the Day and Member's Choice.

As you would know it's summer in my part of the world and the garden at home needs some attention. I've spent part of today on the old tractor pulling out old stumps and a plant (a conifer that I hated and with a huge root system) that had just got too big for the position it was in. Then of course I have all the mess on the ground to contend with. Husband is pretty much bone lazy IMO!

Anyway, I'm so tired by the end of the day that I've just been falling into bed and glad of it!

Robyn, just take your time! :-a I'm sure everyone here understand that.

You do so much for this forum, thank you so much! It is a pleasure to be a member here!

Big :-36 Esther

Thought you were at the shack - most of us know, or knew, gardening! No apologies needed - just a note that you're fine is all we need and, of course, I ditto Esther's comments @Escara

Hope you are enjoying your summer Robyn! Gardening can be fun, but it is a chore none the less that needs to get done. Then you need some relaxing time for yourself. Take in those sun rays for me! It is cloudy and cold on my side of the world. ☀️

Robyn, there is no need to apologize. I missed you and thought you were relaxing at the shack but instead you were busy gardening and working too hard.

I've been backwards and forward between shack and home ever since Christmas. Heaps of maintenance up there as well! It's a 2 hour drive each way to get there.

@Diane's Art - Diane gardening is NEVER fun for me; I hate it. But I can't bear to see the place looking untidy.

Wow Robyn, your Garden seems to cause you more Stress than Fun.
At least at Times ! Please don´t overdo it but enjoy it as well.
No, need to worry about the Forum !

Good to get it done in 'summer' heaven knows you only get a day of summer there and there down there. LOL sorry could not help that dig. We did 3 mths in Tassie a some years ago, I always joke we had 2 weeks of summer spread through the 3 mths.. I have never worn jeans and shoes for so long as I did there. We of course never see winter. Always escape to FNQ till its over. And for the record, I hate gardening too. I am one who buys a plant, walks out in the garden and puts it on the ground, commenting to the 'gardener" in the household. "This would look nice here I think". Then I leave him to it. I do like to walk out in the garden and admire things occasionally though.. so I am not totally ignoring the garden.

I'm sorry Diane, gardening is not, and can not be fun . There is dirt in the garden from my observation. Like Jody, if I see something that I think would look nice in our garden, I bring it home for my husband who likes getting his hands dirty. I can hear you saying 'Wear gardening gloves.' Nup, not for me. There could be spiders in them, and I'm not checking. Show me a pretty flower and I will photograph it but that's as friendly as we get.

Robyn I am sorry you don't get any help with your heavy duty gardening. Maybe you should trade him in on a younger working model.:-13

Robn, I totally get it. During our gardening season, I'm super busy out there, too. Too bad you have to be out on the tractor pulling trees and root balls out, though. At least, I don't have to do that. We do have a tractor, but I don't even know how to start it. :-36

I LOVED gardening and do miss it ... there are plenty of perennials that come back each year so I get to see them and my friend, Libby, loves to mess about in my yard. Hopefully I won't be here thru this summer ... fingers crossed!
