CHIT CHAT CHIT CHAT ... so what shall we talk about ? May.

My goodness nearly half way through May where is the time going, soon be Christmas again at this rate !!!
Hope you are all recovering and doing well. Again not looking for sympathy just need to offload for my own mental wellbeing. Have Glyn's birthday at the end of the week, yet another milestone to get through but I know he will be with me and helping me.
I want to thank you for being here for me and just putting up with me. x

Hi I am back we had a lovely time visiting my family in Uxbridge and then going to see Mum and siblings in Eastbourne,I managed the long drive well with no problems, we had nice warm weather and lots of catching up...
Barb we are always here for you and always will be....sending lot's of hugs. xx

Anyway, here goes:

Head Colds: My hubby, son and I all had "something" during March, each with slightly different symptoms (they had fevers, I did not) but we each had a greatly irritating, hacking cough that just wouldn't quit! I describe my experience as a backwards cold as I typically start with the runny/stuffy nose, then the cough, etc. This time, the cough came first and finished with the runny /stuffy nose (so weird).
Other: April was rather scary, my hubby was hospitalized for most of a week (a rather long story of which I won't provide details); at first when he sought medical help, his vitals were all dangerously off and had a high fever, after an entire afternoon in the local ER and many and varied tests, they couldn't quite determine what was wrong so they transferred him to a hospital an hour's drive away. They then determined he had a serious infection caused by a blocked bile duct between his liver & gall bladder. He was on IV antibiotics for 3 days. It was a scary reminder to me that I'd be totally lost without him (he's my main care-giver since I had a stroke nearly 1o years ago and the only income for our household. He's fine now & home but is expected to have surgery in near future.

Being here for you and the girls isn't 'putting up with you' it's a pleasure. We are a little community with a love for scrapbooking in common. We each have lots of things going on in our lives but through this beautiful forum that Robyn has created we have friendship, and to me, that's the most important connection we can have. With such a caring group of friends, I really couldn't feel luckier. Barb take your time. Do what you need to do for your own wellbeing. We are all here for you when you need us. I know that from experience.

Well since May is nearly over already,I asked myself what did I do in May?
It has flown by,without me doing very much of anything. Granted I was under the weather for part of it, but Even when when I was well ,not much got done. A lot of thought went into that :-D
My roof garden looks lovely,,and it has been nice (not to hot ) to sit up there with a book, - and supposedly with a sketchbook too,but that one stayed closed for the most part. ;-(
I did make strawberry jam,because Tony has more strawberries than we could possibly reach to eat,so that's something....
Looking forward to June now, and hoping that my procrastinating is going to be left behind together with the month of May...
What about you,did you get the things you had planned for May done ?

It's GRIM here right now. Windy, pouring with rain and very black. I have the lights on inside and it's only mid afternoon.
