PLEASE NOTE: The gallery embed method does not work properly for placing images in signatures. You need to use the method as described below.
Adding your signature (and linking it if you wish) is quite easy!
1. First create your signature in whatever program you are using. I would suggest that you make your signature no higher than around 200 pixels. Width is not quite as important. If you make a signature too high it takes up a lot of vertical space in your posts. It's important to trim all the unnecessary space from around your signature. If you don't trim, your signature will appear a lot bigger than you think!
Upload it to our gallery (or another secure site if you wish).
2. At the top of the page click on your name and then click on signature in the pop-up box, as in the image below.
3. In the gallery right click on your image (I use Firefox and this may vary in other browsers) to get the IMAGE LOCATION address.
OR just copy the image link from the gallery - in the right hand column under your image.
Once you click on your signature you will see the editor (see image below). You can then use this editor to add your signature, either as plain text, or you can add a picture or a blinkie. If you are using plain text, just start typing in the box. You can have a combination of plain text and an image if you wish. Text can be linked in the usual way by highlighting the part of the text you want linked and then adding a link.
To add an image to your signature, see below.
4. You should now see your signature.
5. If you now click on the your signature to highlight it (see image below) you will see a pop-up with various options, including adding a link (to your gallery if you wish) and alignment options. After completing your preferred options (if any), go ahead and click SAVE and you are good to go!
6. If you are unsure how to get the link for your gallery see the two images below. You can use (A) OR if you prefer a view of your gallery without the sidebar information visible use (B)
