Great news Vivi. Onwards and upwards. You've got this now.

SO - I had to get a MRI cuz at some point the radiologist reported on the recent CT Scan that there was an ABNORALITY in an area of my brain ... an abnormal brain - go figure! Been having daily, now constant, weird, painful headaches. Y'all know how it is - 500 questions trying to figure things out. And I'm telling you there was nothing the same on any day with those. So, of course, a little nervous but I've let everyone know if it's bad news I am and am not going to do certain things. AND, of course weren't there jokes galore about my ABBYnormal brain. So, telephone appointment with my GP and he says everything is fine - the abnormal is an age related shrinking of blood vessels ... no anything serious or fatal. He thinks the headaches are - chronic migraines. Good lawd. Medicine, blood pressure medicine change and more change 1 week later cuz no improvement. Here we are watching this level of meds for another week - side effects ... headaches, muscle pain ... GREAT ... 2 days ago hip pain and knee pain killing me! HOLY MOTHER OF GAWD. I know everyone here can relate. Is it any wonder I cuss ~ been inventing new cuss words here lately ♥ Headache still with me, maybe a tad less severe.

Ev, I'm sorry you're having these headaches, but glad that there's nothing that some meds can't fix. Don't you hate hearig anything that's "medically age related"????? :-36

I can relate to migraines. I used to get them back in the day. Turned out I was taking too many Tylenol to get rid of the headache and that was the cause.

So sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. Head pain can really slow a person down and make it hard to think.

Well if you have an abnormal brain then I must too as I think we have a similar sense of humour.
Glad there is nothing untoward JA5

Wow Ev, I am so sorry that you have been through so much lately. You must have been nervous waiting for the MRI and then the results, Just what you need, more stress. I'm glad they found nothing serious. I just hope they can get you meds right soon so you can get some relief from the headaches and other aches and pains....and you can stop cussing, damn it!

OMG Karen - that's exactly what I decided yesterday!!! Stopped the migraine med which can cause joint pain amongst other lovely side effects and I've been taking - ibbyprofen or acetomein (that's how I spell them) for years like candy for the spine pain!! Wasn't on a high dose of the migraine so just stopped, not weaning off and stopped the other. Took blood pressure and nerve meds this am. Blood pressure can be affected by those, too - good gawd. Joint pain and headache both are noticeably less ♥

Ev, medications have good and bad side effects. Only you know how the meds affect you and it's good that you're in less pain now. You're taking a lot of meds and I wonder how the meds interact.

Oh yes Ev I know what you mean, after my cancer diagnosis was just prescribed drugs willy-nilly as that is what they give everyone. Well I'm not everyone, I am me and I will decide what I take.

Eve, I´m sorry you have migrainies AND side effects. As one of them wouldn´t be enough!
Had the joy to receive the attacks weekly or more from age 20 till I finally was given my
retirement. Phh ! It feels like an attack with a heavy hammer but those people with "Cluster headaches" I also feel sorry for. Hope you feel better soon ! :-5

I'm a Gemini and we like conversing and I take that to another level - I also do not suffer in silence ... these headaches fluctuate between mild and mediumISH ... AND constant - it's the damn constant that is going to do me in!
Ev,do you take the meds for your headaches every few hours or just when you think they are really bad, some meds need to be taken regular like every few hours, not just when it is really bad...

Migraines can be terrible. I used to have them something awful. I had the good fortune to get to know some homeopathic doctors/dentists and I had a lot of "old" fillings in my mouth - back when we didn't know that metal fillings weren't a good thing and I had a lot of them. I had dental surgery and had my "metal fillings" replaced with amalgam and that fixed my migraine problem I actually don't have them anymore. It's pretty radical dental surgery, but it was worth it to me. I'm older, so they didn't used to know that it wasn't a good thing to do. Ev @Ev and Karen @Kakleidesigns have you ever heard of "muscle testing"? That's how they discovered what my problem was.
