QUESTION Top of forum banner - do you remember when?

Do you remember when we used to have THOUGH FOR THE DAY/WEEK banners at the top of the forum?

I thought we might try them again. Would you like to make me one (or more) and I can keep a little stock of them to use?

Your banner must be 1320 pixels wide and up to, but no more than 200 pixels deep (height).

It can have a quote or any sort of positive message. It can be serious or fun. You can decorate it how you wish (use whatever colours you fancy) and perhaps leave your name on it (probably smallish font and maybe in a bottom corner (?) so members can see who made it. Credits in a small font can be left if necessary.

If you need it to help you with correct sizing HERE is a download link for a template. You need Photoshop to open it though. Save for the web and it will bring your jpg. down to the appropriate file size.

HERE is a link for another template. This one is already in 72 pixels, so no need to save for the web, just save as a jpg.

Also......check out Grace's helpful instructions (in post#45 of this thread) for getting started with the right size.

I'm not very good at working in small spaces (hence my siggie hardly ever gets changed), but I'm sure some of you are brilliant at it! :)

I have one up at the moment, just to get an idea of proportions. It must be 1320 pixels wide and up to, but no more than 200 pixels deep (the current one is exactly that).

No, I don't remember when we had Thought for the Day/Week banner at the top of the forum. How long ago was it?

I will do a banner and send it to you by PM.

As for working in small spaces, I work in a large space and size it down to the required size.

Maybe I did it for the blog, I can't remember. I tried to look for all the banners I had done at that time, but as I can't find them, I'm assuming that I have deleted them.

Re the space.........for me it's not so much the actual space, but the odd sizing ratio that I find difficult to work with.

@Marie-Christine, you are such a sweetie. ❤️ These are lovely, but I think you have misunderstood me. :)

I'm not wanting a banner with a name of the site. It is more along the lines of a banner with a positive quote. Also the banner needs to be 1320 pixels wide, rather than the 1000 pixels that these two are.
 
Yes, the 3rd one is what I mean. Lovely! I will use it, but if you could make any further banners 1320 pixels wide, rather than 1000 pixels that would be perfect. If you could send them to me via PM that would be great. I have downloaded them now onto my hard drive, so I will delete them from the gallery.

I was going to PM you and ask if this could have been a challenge with the first GSO getting the the premier showing but then I noticed this post. Oh bother.... a missed opportunity.

I did think about making a banner as a challenge Debbie. But the size I need is too large for the gallery.
