QUESTION Your opinion on this?

When it comes to shadows I keep the doubles and put them in a separate folder within the kit folder. I would appreciate if the designers added the shadow angle though. It would make matching shadows much easier. I do the same with clusters as I don't use them often but if I do, I turn them into overlays and use as a backdrop.

If I were considering a purchase of a kit that had elements from other kits in the sample LO's, I would expect that all the kit elements were clearly shown in the promoted kit preview. If I can't see what is in the kit I don't buy it.

What I really like is the sample element page preview that has everything clearly shown but slightly blurred so that shoppers can't extract them.

Stating the obvious maybe but...
If you work as a CT for 1 designer, then you have an obligation on your submission of your page( for promotion of that specific kit ) to that designer, to only use what is in the kit you are supposed to be promoting.
However if you CT for a site then you have an obligation to make pages that promotes every designer equally, and thereby promote the whole site.
It becomes tricky when the kit is no longer a new release, but the CT still wants to show it (because they like it ),and mixes it with others. If one of the designers then uses that as a personal promotion when showing the kit, then that's just plain wrong (an annoying )
My personal pet hate is the same Alphas in different colours, or 1 flower turned 3 ways. Shadows I delete, they never ever fit.
Scribbles I like ... go figure.
Personally I think the " easy way out " are used by many designers now,and if they have a kit that is supposed to contain 25 elements and say 10 papers, they are not adverse to using 5 or 6 elements similar or even the same as they have used in previous kits, just with a 're colour,or one of the papers clipped in,so it looks part of the new kit.

I just object to the layouts shown under the kit for sale (IN THE ACTUAL SHOP) when not all the layouts have used stuff exclusive to that kit. I know it has a disclaimer.......something along the lines of ..... sample layouts may include elements or use templates that are not included in this product. ..... but I still feel that is a tad deceitful.

Just my 2 cent worth.

Yes that is naughty

Yet again!! This featured under a product (in the store) that I was looking at today. It's becoming the norm!!

Layouts featured by the creative team may show other items not included in this pack.

Why bother showing the layouts that are NOT relevant to the product!! For me, I am immediately turned off. If the product can't stand on its own merits, then I don't want it.
